Location

Koh Yao Noi is located in Phang Nga Bay between Phuket and Krabi. This magical island remains a hidden gem in Thailand and all of Southeast Asia – largely undiscovered by mainstream tourism with pristine beaches, friendly locals, and outstanding natural beauty. Koh Yao Noi is really the perfect retreat hideaway and National Geographic ranked it as one of the six best Wild and Beautiful Places to Practice Yoga.

Our venue is ideally positioned on the beautiful Tha Khao Beach, a quiet, undeveloped part of the island were you can relax into a slower pace of life. The local village is just a 10 minute walk away, the main town is just a 10 minute drive away. The retreat venue is conveniently located for fast transfers from Phuket airport which is less than 2 hours away (40 min van, 30 min boat, 20 min car). Our retreat venue have been operating as a dedicated yoga retreat for over 17 years and are local owned and managed.

Enjoy an island-hopping trip around the stunning waters and limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay. These islands are full of hidden gems like mysterious mangroves, secret beaches, spectacular wildlife and breathtaking ocean views. It’s unbelievable what you discover when the boatman glides into a hidden lagoon… Nothing has changed in there for eons untold. The contrast of colours, limestone cliffs, lush green jungle, white sand, and indescribable brilliant water will open your mind beyond what you expect.

Sound bowls

The body is like an orchestra. If an instrument is off key, we feel out of tune. Too many discordant frequencies can affect our wellbeing, creating stress, anxiety and disease. Sound bowls vibrate our frequencies back into balance and make the mind, body and soul feel in tune. We will experience an hour long healing sound bath with Tibetan bowls.

YOga SPace

The Shiva hall is a purpose built, fully enclosed, yoga shala, equiped with pristine wooden floors, plenty of space, air conditioning and ample ceiling fans so you can be comfortable in your practice. With a view of surrounding banana trees, the home to hornbills and squirrels the hall is furnished with all the necessary props, blocks, bolsters, belts and top of the line Manduka yoga mats.

Our adventure begins with a spectacular longtail boat ride through towering limestone cliffs to the famous mangrove forests of Ao Thalane. Here we collect kayaks and dry bags to paddle through a series of enchanting waterways marvelling at awesome caves and stalactite formations, cool hidden beaches with mischievous monkeys, natural lagoons, colourful Kingfishers, giant lizards, sea eagles and much more….Inspired by magic memories and awesome photos, we board our boat once more to stop over at a secluded beach for a picnic lunch, swimming, snorkelling and some serious chill time!

Final payment is due 60 days prior to retreat starting.

The retreat starts Wednesday at 2pm and finishes Tuesday at 11am.

The airport you need to fly into is Phuket, from there it is about a 40 minute journey by taxi to the pier and then a 30 minute speedboat trip to our retreat venue, then a short van ride which is all included in the price. You will need to fly in the day before the retreat starts and we will recommend a place to stay only 15 minutes from Phuket airport. The shuttle will pick everyone up from there the next morning.

WHAT TO EXPECT regarding the WEATHER. July is rainy season, so it may rain overnight with sometimes heavy downpours but then will fine up and be sunny. The advantage of this time of the year is there are low tourist numbers, so on the excursions you will enjoy a more peaceful and intimate experience without crowds. Everything is very lush and green. The temperature is nice and warm 25-30 C.
