A peaceful, private, retreat centre set in 10 acres of lush New Zealand bush. There is private access to the gorgeous Otaki River with its swimming holes and plunge pools. There is also a fire circle and outdoor bath, for those who wish to enjoy as much nature time as possible.
The main lodge is surrounded by four cosy huts, a large garden area, camping field and extensive woodlands. There is a beautiful stream-side yurt which we will use for our meditations and relaxations (yoga nidra).
There’s something for everyone—a choice of huts, cabins or the lodge. The warm, cosy huts are a favourite, all are thoughtfully placed around the property so each has its own private area.
Guided morning meditation sessions with Matt are something special. The peaceful, natural environment supports the practice beautifully and Matt's guidance helps you achieve even deeper states of inner peace.
LIVE MUSIC YOGA SESSIONS
The weekend includes four yoga sessions. You’ll enjoy two energising morning vinyasa flows and two delicious afternoon yin yoga sessions. Your yin practice is accompanied by live music and includes self-guided myofascial release.
DINING & FOOD
Our caterers specialise in creating healthy, mouth-watering dishes. Where possible, they use organic ingredients and locally sourced seasonal produce. They can cater for different diets—gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and raw foods.
A variety of activities are on offer during the day. Previous retreats included a guided wild food walk, tea tastings, skin care pampering, tratak meditation (candle gazing), and guest speakers on topics like dream medicine.
Nestled beside a peaceful stream and set away from the main retreat area, the yurt is a warm and nurturing space for our morning meditations and afternoon relaxations.
